A tragic incident occurred in Tashkent where seven children, left unattended at home, drowned in a swimming pool. Two of the children died. The incident was reported in the "Millar" program.

According to reports, all seven children were brought to the children’s department of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care in critical condition. Two of the children were pronounced dead before arrival. The remaining five were admitted to the intensive care unit, all in comatose states.

Doctors noted that some of the children required artificial respiration for up to one week. Three of the five children have since regained consciousness and were moved to the general ward, while two remain in intensive care in serious condition. In one case, a child’s heart resumed beating after 40 minutes of resuscitation efforts.

Medical staff have expressed concern about the children’s chances of survival and recovery, noting that prolonged comas often lead to lasting complications. Even if the children survive, there is a significant risk of long-term disability.

This tragedy follows a similar recent incident in the Andijan region, where two nine-year-old children drowned after falling into an artificial pond belonging to a farmer in the Altinkol district.
