Aziz Voitov, the former Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, has been arrested, as reported by the source QALAMPIR.UZ.
According to the report, Voitov is under investigation for economic crimes. The Yashnabad district court has ordered imprisonment as a preventive measure.
Born in 1980 in Tashkent, Aziz Voitov is a graduate of the Tashkent Financial Institute and the Higher Business School under the Academy of State and Society Building under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Throughout his career, he held various positions in the National Bank of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2000-2017). From 2017 to 2020, he served as the acting Chairman of the Board of ADB "Uzsanoatkurilishbank".
It's worth noting that Aziz Botirovich Voitov was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in August 2022 through a decree issued by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
