The National Guard's information service reported that a mother and her 12-year-old son from the Olmazor district were apprehended on suspicion of stealing gold items worth 49 million soums from a jewelry store at the "Eski Jova" market in Tashkent.

According to the report, on April 28, an unidentified woman accompanied by a teenage boy visited the jewelry store where the seller, a citizen, worked. After browsing for a considerable time, the woman selected gold items worth 49 million soums and handed them to her son before abruptly fleeing in an unknown direction.

Subsequent investigations revealed the woman's identity as 49-year-old H.G., a resident of Qoqon, and the teenager as her 12-year-old son I.A.

The National Guard swiftly apprehended the fleeing minor and returned the stolen valuables to the rightful owner.

The report concludes that the internal affairs authorities are currently conducting further investigations into the matter.
