During a swift operation by the State Security Service, individuals attempting to circulate fake foreign money were apprehended, as reported by UzA.
According to reports, a Honda vehicle, driven by a person born in 1978 and residing in the Chinoz district of the Tashkent region, was intercepted in the Pop district while traveling towards "Namangan-Tashkent."
Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had purchased the counterfeit currency for $2,200 from a resident of the Yangiqorgon district, born in 1971, who had a prior conviction.
Subsequently, the rapid operation continued, leading to the apprehension of a resident of the Yangiqorgon district exchanging $5,400 counterfeit for $3,000 genuine.
It was revealed that he had obtained the counterfeit currency from criminal associates in the Kyrgyz Republic. As a result of the swift operation, a total of $9,400 counterfeit US dollars were seized as physical evidence.
