Uktam Ismailovich Turayev was appointed to the position of Governor of Termiz.

Uktam Turayev had been working as the Deputy Minister of Construction until today. He was appointed to this position in May 2021.

Uktam Turayev was born on 25 October 1979 in Muzrabot district of Surkhandarya region. In 2000, he graduated from Termiz State University, in 2002 from Tashkent Highway Institute, and in 2011 from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

He worked as the first deputy of the Governor of Muzrabot district, governor of Boysun district. From 2019 until he became the deputy minister, he worked as the Governor of the Sariosiyo district.
