Uzbekistan ranked first in the CIS by birth rate

There are 25.9 newborns per 1,000 permanent residents in Uzbekistan.  This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.

The committee has carried out an analysis in this regard in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

According to the report, in 2021 Uzbekistan recorded more births than other CIS countries.

The following locations were Kazakhstan (23.5 people), Armenia (12.4 people), Kyrgyzstan (22.4 people), Azerbaijan (11.2 people), and Moldova (11.2 people).  With the birth of 9.6 babies, Russia took the last place.

As of 1 January 2022, there were 905,200 births in Uzbekistan, of which 436,727 were girls and 468,484 were boys.
