The absolute record of maximum air temperature is renewed in Khorezm and Navoi

On 22 July this year, the absolute record of maximum air temperature for all years of meteorological observations was updated in the Khorezm and Navoi regions of Uzbekistan.  This was reported by the Hydrometeorological Service Center.

According to the center, on 22 July, +47.5 degrees was recorded in the Tuyamuyin region of the Khorezm region.  46.3 degrees of heat was observed in the Uchkuduk region of the Navoi region.

For reference, for the entire history of meteorological observations, the highest temperature value in Uzbekistan (+50 degrees) was recorded in the Kyzylkum desert and the city of Termiz.

The maximum temperature in Tashkent was set on 18 July 1997 (+44.6 degrees).
