In the Karshi district of the Kashkadarya region, authorities apprehended a 24-year-old woman who deceived her acquaintance by assuring her of success in online gambling. This was reported by the Cyber Security Center.
The individual in question, Sh.B., identified as a 24-year-old woman residing in the Chust district of Namangan region, lodged a complaint stating that an unknown person had unlawfully withdrawn 3 million soums from her bank card.
Following swift investigative efforts, it was discovered that the perpetrator of this crime was a 24-year-old individual named Kh.G., residing in the Karshi district of the Kashkadarya region.
Kh.G., implicated as a suspect by investigative authorities, had befriended the victim, identified as Sh.B., via the Telegram messenger. Claiming expertise in online gambling, Kh.G. persuaded Sh.B. to invest, resulting in the fraudulent transfer of 3 million soums, which Kh.G. subsequently spent for personal purposes.
"In response to this incident, a criminal case was initiated against Kh.G. under part 1 of Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code," the report confirms.
